South Kasai (1960-1961)
The Mining State of South Kasai was one of the many states that tried to break away from the central government in LĂ©opoldville during the Congo Crisis. It declared its autonomy on 8 August 1960. Its flag contained a golden V for Victory. There’s a different rendition of the flag on Wikipedia, but photos of the flag show a darker green and a V that doesn’t reach all the way to the edge.
