Franco-Columbians (1982-Present)
The French-speaking community in British Columbia flies a white flag with a dogwood flower, the lower left petal of which forms the tip of a fleur-de-lys. Like a lot of the francophone flags of Canada, it’s much more elegant than its anglo counterpart. The flags of the Franco-Manitobans and the Franco-Ontarians especially stand out next to the ugly red ensigns of their respective provinces, while the Franco-Yukonnais flag has a bold look that outshines the decent but rather conventional flag of the Yukon.
