Chile (1812-1814)
The First Government Junta was established on 18 September 1810, marking the beginning of Chile’s independence from Spain. During this Patria Vieja period, the first national flag of Chile was adopted: an attractive horizontal blue-white-yellow tricolour. These colours were revived in the 1930s as a symbol of the fascist National Socialist Movement of Chile.
