October 7 is the first day of Nagasaki Kunchi, an autumn festival in the city of Nagasaki. This is the flag of Nagasaki prefecture. Unlike most prefectural flags, which are based on stylized kanji, the flag of Nagasaki is based on the roman letter “N”. It’s also supposed to resemble a dove, representing world peace.
